About Chris D. Warren

About the Author

I’m a New York and New Jersey based litigator focused on complex business disputes such as shareholder and partnership conflicts, business dissolutions (“business divorce”), fiduciary-duty and accounting claims, B2B contract matters, and targeted real-estate litigation (fiduciary-duty claims and condominium-association governance). I appear in state and federal courts and in arbitration before AAA, JAMS, and FINRA.

I also represent individuals and companies in securities-regulatory matters and FINRA proceedings, as well as investigations and enforcement involving the SEC and state Attorneys General, including subpoena strategy and responses, FINRA Rule 8210 inquiries, OTR testimony, and Wells and AWC negotiations.

My current passion is advancing AI governance, data privacy, and legal ethics across the profession. I serve on the NJ Supreme Court District VI Ethics Committee (2025–2029), and I’m pursuing AIGP, CIPP/US, and ISO/IEC 42001 (AI management systems) credentials. I write and speak about turning vague guidance into practical, defensible compliance frameworks so firms can meet their ethical duties of competence, diligence, confidentiality/privilege, communication, supervision, and candor, while safely deploying AI for the direct benefit of their clients.

Before joining Scarinci Hollenbeck LLC as a Member in 2024, I founded and managed a boutique NYC firm. Earlier, I worked as a licensed securities professional and in real-estate ventures, experience that gives me a pragmatic, business-minded approach to litigation and counseling.

Views are my own and do not reflect those of the NJ Supreme Court Attorney Ethics Committee (District VI).
